Critical Alliance (Rocky Mountain Courage 3): Book Review

BOOK BY: Elizabeth Goddard

A satisfying conclusion to the Rocky Mountain Courage series!

This time, readers are treated to Alex Knight’s story, the final member of the trio of kids who lost their parents to a SAR accident. A family secret that surprises readers, and Alex, ties up the investigation into the SAR monument vandalism (which we are introduced to in book two).

Mackenzie Hanson is a brand new character, who has an interesting past. The skills that ripped her family apart are the very ones she needs to mend the family business back together. Her sister is visibly scared and her brother’s death is suspicious, though difficult to prove as murder. And the fact that it isn’t safe to stay anywhere leaves readers wondering how Mackenzie will ever make it to the end of the story.

Characters from previous novels are key to aiding Mackenzie and Alex, giving readers a chance to revisit old friends.

This novel is focused on cybercrime and how Mackenzie and Alex weed out a notorious cybercriminal. The pacing is slower than what readers received in the first two novels, but no less engaging. Expect action and spine-tingling tension spread through the chapters while Mackenzie puts her skills to good use. For fans of romance, a sweet connection between Mackenzie and Alex saturate the pages as they learn to trust each other.

As for the villain, it’s a surprise that isn’t easily guessed.

If you want a summertime read that will keep you guessing and turning the pages, Critical Alliance is the perfect choice.

I received a copy from the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.
