It was a treat to read this collection. In Lynette Eason’s novella, readers get to find more out about Daria – the FBI computer techie from her Danger Never Sleeps series. Suspense hits readers from page one as Daria tries to figure out who wants her dead. A romance ensues as she’s injured and the doctor who treats her is determined to see that she lives.
My favourite novella is the second one by Lynn Blackburn. Someone is after the vice president’s son. For our main characters, suspense sweeps them up only because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Camping in the wilderness when someone is hunting them down? A definite recipe for spine tingling reading.
The romantic tension in the third novella by Natalie Walters is intense, but so is the mystery they’re trying to solve. A Saudi prince is murdered and a CIA agent is framed.
Each author shines in this collection. There’s lots of action, a good dose of suspense and just enough romance for these quick reads.
