Readers are treated to not one, but two romances in the latest novel by Shelley Shepard Gray, Her Heart’s Desire.
Three Amish wallflowers are thrown together into a motel room during a bus ride to Pinecraft, Florida. Daring to do something different, these gals come together and form a strong friendship that will last longer than the two weeks planned.
It’s a story about finding oneself, making friends, falling in love and telling the truth no matter the consequences.
There are a lot of interesting characters, but by far Michael outshines them all. Michael and Jayson are love interests in the story. I couldn’t help but want Michael to find his happy story. Jayson had a lot to learn.
The story started out slow for me, but eventually I wanted to know what would happen to Mary Margaret and Esther’s storyline – enemies from back home in Ohio.
This is a sweet, Amish story that is a quick read.
