Cold Light of Day (Missing in Alaska 1): Book Review

BOOK BY: Elizabeth Goddard

Elizabeth Goddard pens an explosive beginning to a brand new series, Missing in Alaska. It’s got to be her best book yet!

Set in the gorgeous Shadow Gap, readers are immersed into the dense forest and looming mountains that surround this quiet Alaskan town. Alaska is a place where people go to disappear – sometimes permanently.  Shadow Gap seems to be the best place to go to accomplish this, considering the string of murders that have been happening lately.

Both our hero and heroine have something to prove. And enlisting the other’s help will risk everything – including their lives. Family secrets, a string of unsolved mysteries, and twists that just keep coming pulls the reader into a story-world that begs the question, what more can possibly go wrong?

It’s a story of faith – of trusting God’s purpose when nothing makes sense. It’s a story about the strength of family ties – how some bonds can never be broken. And it’s a story of trust.

A great suspense novel with a simmering romance makes this first instalment in the Missing in Alaska series a hit in my top 2023 reads so far. I can’t wait for book two.

I received a copy of the book from the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own, not required to give a positive review. I am pleased to be a launch team member.
