The Island Bakeshop is a delightful read – perfect for beach reading or sitting by the campfire.
Beck and Harper’s story is a really sweet friends to more story. Beck is a swoon-worthy hero who steps in to defend Harper against a very terrible man, and in a hasty decision, Beck pretends to date Harper. It’s such a fun story!
There are characters to truly despise and ones to complete fall in love with.
I loved watching the solid relationship of Harper and her parents unfold, and how she connected with Beck’s dad.
There’s a lovely faith thread that ties the whole story together. And there’s a little bit of a dual time line going on concerning relatives from the Outer Banks.
I haven’t read the first book, but I had no difficulty in reading and understanding this one. I may have to go back and read the first one now!
I received an ecopy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.
