What a fun story!
I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed Lady Grace Astley. She’s such a fun character – sweet, kind, and someone who always attracts a mystery that needs to be solved. Grace is prepared to solve the mysteries (she reads mystery novels). And she’ll need all her expertise to solve three mysteries at home.
Grace turns Havensbrooke Hall into a convalescent hospital while Freddie is helping the war effort overseas. This is a British home front story where a German spy has infiltrated the hospital. Enter, The Bachelor Spy – Freddy’s cousin, Stephen Blake.
I enjoyed every moment of this World War 1 story – from the sinking of the Lusitania, to the final page of capturing the spy.
The three mysteries may, or may not, be connected.
Hidden treasure, mysterious spies, secret identities, and more, this book will keep readers turning the pages. Oh, and a doubly-fun twist at the very end.
If you love light mysteries, humour, and slow-burn romances, you should try The Bachelor Spy. Readers will have no problem enjoying this story as a stand-alone.
I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.
