A Sea View Christmas (On Devonshire Shores Novella): Book Review

A Sea View Christmas book cover. Winter scene, holly decorated windows, regency woman in red holding her hat. Title in fancy red script matching the colour of the woman's dress.

Book by: Julie Klassen

A lovely Christmas story and conclusion to the On Devonshire Shores series by Julie Klassen.

At last! The happily-ever-after I’ve been waiting for since book one!! The series comes full circle, back to Sarah and Callum’s story. It’s Christmastide and readers get to experience a regency Christmas in full colour. There are some lovely traditions and some questionable traditions that the Summers family participates in. Highly entertaining and educational at the same time.

Readers get to visit once again with the Summers sisters and their respective husbands, as well as other townspeople met from previous novels. There are new characters that are a delight to meet too.

Sarah, as always, struggles with stepping toward what she wants and being the responsible sister. Her duty is to keep the guest house running and as the eldest unmarried sister, she feels extra responsible for her youngest sister and mother. This gets tiresome, but thankfully she learns how to let go of the constraints she puts on herself.

A wonderful Christmas read, or any time of the year read!

I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.
